Plants from our soil, products from our hands.

We cultivate creativity at every level. It begins with our connection to the Earth, soil, plants and animals.

The Stewards

Soil stewardship means we build the soil organic matter and improve the soil health year over year. We follow organic growing practices and never use synthetic chemicals or plastic mulches.

Stewardship As Service

We consider ourselves stakeholders in the conservation and rehabilitation of the Catawissa Creek and Chesapeake Bay watershed. We understand everything we do has the potential to impact those downstream.

We practice organic field and pasture management, meaning no chemical pesticides, herbicides, or fertilizers. In addition we refuse to use plastic mulch. We use regenerative agriculture practices such as cover-cropping and field rotations to add and replenish organic matter in the soil. Our fertility is also derived from sheep and chickens moving constantly across the field cycling nutrients and adding organic matter to the whole system.

We are on a long term journey and investment with the relationship to the land. The Farm at Catawissa Creek is 131 acres in total spanning many blocks of forested, meadowed, and arable land. Our ultimate vision for our developments is to be so inspired by divine intelligence that they are indistinguishable from nature’s creations already present and evolving in the valley.
